The history of the Bangkok Blues club starts with the King of Thailand, who is not only a huge fan of American Jazz, he is an accomplished saxophonist and composer!
This cultural affinity with American music in Thailand was expanded in the 60's by U.S. soldiers taking rest and recovery from Vietnam and bringing their love for American soul music, blues and rock to Thailand.
As a young man, Chai Siribongkot was so impressed with American music that he became a musician himself. After performing around the world, he and his family started the Bangkok Blues club to combine authentic Thai food with the hottest live music!
The club's next owners, Sue Ann Nguyen and Johnathan Vu, renovated the club including the addition of the unique guitar shaped bar.

The current owners, Darrell Taylor and Sharon Kline, are continuing this tradition with a commitment to quality food, great music and a friendly atmosphere.
